“Collaborative Degree Program Agreement between Shandong University and University of South Australia” was signed by Dean of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shandong University, Professor Fengshan Wang and Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice President of University of South Australia, Professor Robert Vink on Shandong-South Australia Cooperation and Development Forum, which was held in Jinan on May 25th.
This agreement offers an opportunity for pharmacy major students of Shandong University to attend courses during the second semester of the fourth year at UniSA and then get enrolled into the Master of Research of UniSA if they meet the requirements. The students who participate in this program will receive a bachelor degree from Shandong University and a master degree from University of South Australia.
Jiang Yikang, secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPC, Guo Shuqing, vice secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPC and governor of Shandong Province, Jay Weatherill, governor of South Australia, and Ms Frances Adamson, Australian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China attended the opening ceremony of the forum. Delegations of South Australia government and South Australia enterprises, relevant members of the Australia Embassy, China, relevant members of departments of Shandong Province as well as the enterprises representatives also attended the opening ceremony. In the opening ceremony, Shandong signed cooperation agreements or memorandums with 16 units from South Australia, covering fields of economy and trade, education, agriculture, resource exploitation and environment protection.
