The opening ceremony began in the afternoon of Nov.2
nd. Chair of the symposium, Professor Lihe Zhang and Dr. David James, Executive Director-Strategic Innovation of Royal Society of Chemistry made opening remarks. In the flowing one-day symposium, 11 plenary speeches were made from distinguished international researchers, discussing the trends and frontiers in medicinal chemistry technology, displaying new results, new progress, new technologies, and new experience in medicinal chemistry research area.
The 4
th CPA-RSC Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry: Epigenetics as Targets for Drug Discovery is co-sponsored by Medicinal Chemistry Professional Committee of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and organized by School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shandong University. The Conference’s aim is to provide a platform for medicinal chemists to exchange research information, discuss challenges, promote collaboration, and facilitate the transfer of new technologies. This one-day symposium is held immediately after the 2013 Chinese Medicinal Chemistry Symposium (CMCS) which attracted almost 900 people from home and abroad.
